Establish an effective Indigenous Child and Family Support Service that will provide and strive to have meaningful and culturally appropriate input on all aspects of the decision making process when the Department comes in contact with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families. The service will also operate in the best interests of the child's rights taking into account their cultural and spiritual identity and cultural background.
